The HUDE Scholarship Fund
The HUDE scholarship fund was established to assist students of Haitian descent seeking admission to a 2 or 4 year accredited undergraduate college, university technical or vocational institution. HUDE awards two $1,500, one-time scholarships each year at our annual fundraising Gala. LEARN MORE! ARE YOU REGISTERED TO VOTE?Your voice matters!! Cholera Epidemic: An Open LetterThe ongoing cholera outbreak in Haiti is the worst epidemic of cholera in recent history, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

HUDE has joined 154 organizations and individuals in a letter to the UN Secretary General and US Secretaray of State John Kerry expressing our deep outrage at the UN's failure to take responsibility for the Cholera epidemic. HUDE supports Face|JusticeOctober 2016 marked the 5th anniversary of the cholera outbreak in Haiti caused by the UN troops after the earthquake in 2010.
Thousands of Haitians have lost their lives and currently over 100,000 have been affected by the cholera epidemic. The UN has only just recently acknowledged their role in introducing the outbreak. Haitians Unified for Development and Education (HUDE) is a supporter of the FaceJustice Campaign, an initiative telling the stories of varies victims affected by the cholera outbreak. LEARN MORE... |
